Jason Bylsma is a freelance artist. He grew up in Severn Maryland and moved to Phoenix Arizona in 2000. He has always had a passion for drawing and appreciating cars. When he was young, he would travel to car shows with his Dad and his Dad's 1938 Buick Century Convertible Coupe. During these car shows, Jason would draw in the rumble seat of the Buick.
Jason has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University where he majored in painting, drawing and art education. In his work, he strives to achieve the illusion of reality. All of his renderings are drawn by hand, they are not Photoshop creations. This is the method he has been perfecting all his life. Not only does the client see a realistic interpretation of his or her vehicle, they also acquire a wonderful piece of art to display.
In 2010, Jason was represented by The Blink Gallery in downtown Phoenix. His artwork is currently in collections world wide including RK Motors Charlotte, R.E. Olds Transportation Museum and the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Company Museum. He can also be found in Scottsdale Arizona at the GoodGuys car show in March and November and at Barrett-Jackson in January .
